This meeting was to help us connect and create an enabling environment for our Chapter, a number of items were discussed such as laying the foundation, registration of the the organization in Cameroon, and putting in place people to accompany the vision and Mission of GCC.
Many proposals were made with regards to celebrating World Compassion Day which is coming up on the 28th of November as well as World Peace Day and World Youth Day.
The group also discussed their structure, creating teams for project work, finance and administration, and recruitment.
Commenting on the occasion, Achuo said:
“It was exciting and deeply encouraging to come together for the first time. Many members had to travel quite some distance to be here in person and the fact that they did shows the willingness and desire to create a country that is built from compassion. Having met together I am confident we have the hearts and minds necessary do achieve that goal.”
