Compassion Connectors Uganda have stepped up to provide vital training to young people living in Kyaka II refugee settlement.
Young people in the camp were previously helped by funds from an international charity. That charity sadly had to significantly scale back the resources being provided which led to many of their previous beneficiaries dropping out of school due to a lack of money to pay for fees, food, and learning materials.
Now Compassion Connectors in Western Uganda, led by Ayebare Prossy, have stepped in to try and provide support.
They have recently launched a training support program aimed at giving young people in the camp necessary skills in making soap, tailoring, and creating sanitary kits.
They were recently able to help 30 people in the camp and hope to expand their support to more in the coming months.
