Biography

I believe that approaching the world and other people with compassion promotes interpersonal trust, optimism, civic virtue, and well-being. I appreciate the work the Coalition is doing in educating and advocating for the power and importance of compassion.

Why I support the Compassion Coalition

Abigail Marsh is a Professor in the Department of Psychology, Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience, and Interdisciplinary Program in Cognitive Science at Georgetown University. She received her Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2004. Her research is aimed at answering the questions: How do we understand what others think and feel? What drives us to help other people? What prevents us from harming them?
