Biography
A distinguished physician and researcher specialized in Mindfulness and Health Promotion, focusing on Supported Self-Care in Chronic Conditions. Currently a Visiting Professor at the University of Technology Sydney and a Free-Lecturer Professor at Escola Paulista de Medicina - UNIFESP. Holds degrees in medicine and a doctorate in Pathology, with postdoctoral specialization in Mindfulness and Mental Health from Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain. Board-certified in Family and Community Medicine, and Sports and Exercise Medicine, with global research collaborations. Leads the Mente Aberta - Brazilian Center for Mindfulness and Health Promotion and the Mindfulness Specialization at UNIFESP. An active member and advisor in several prestigious organizations, recognized for his research productivity and role as a father.
