Biography
As Director of Public Health my role is to work as part of a community to build the foundations of wellbeing in Tower Hamlets. This means working with residents and partners to create conditions in which our core needs to feel safe, have a sense of purpose and feel included are valued and supported. Fundamental to my work is a position that all individual have the right to be as healthy and well as possible and a recognition that not everyone enjoys this right equally.
Why I support the Compassion Coalition
Empathy, compassion and kindness are at the heart of wellbeing and a world in which people can flourish. However, they are not at the heart of public policy and this needs to change.
