Biography
Steven C. Hayes is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Nevada, Reno. The originator of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, his acceptance, mindfulness, and values methods are distributed worldwide by the World Health Organization and other major agencies, and he is ranked among the most cited psychologists in the world.
Why I support the Compassion Coalition
Compassion is both a social extension of psychological well-being and a major foundation for it. It's a manifestation of emotional openness and mindfulness, and a reflection of how conscious connection among the human community leads to kindness of values-based action. In our modern world we need the messages the GCC stands for.
