This program aims to bring compassion training to under-resourced nonprofits supporting individuals with mental illness and their families.

About the Project

Motivated by a personal connection to mental illness, the facilitator partnered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Santa Clara County Chapter to offer CCT to their staff and peer support teams. These teams work crisis lines and provide groups for individuals and families in need, performing emotionally demanding work that requires resilience and compassion.

The People

Participants included staff and peer support team members working in highly challenging environments, offering vital support to those affected by mental illness.

The Impact

The program fostered a deeply moving and supportive environment. Participants quickly engaged, creating an open and compassionate space for growth and learning.
