Patricia is a clinical psychologist. Over the years, she has gained a vast experience in leading Mindfulness & Compassion workshops aimed at professionals and lay audiences alike.
Based on her own personal experience, Patricia is in the path of Compassion training, reaffirming her desire to help others awake their qualities of the heart, specially focused on those who have suffered from losses; from a terminal disease; and/or are in high vulnerability conditions.
The People
They are a diverse group of caregivers from San Camilo & Kamalaya Hospices, who are in direct contact with the inmates, their relatives, and the team of doctors.
About the Project
San Camilo & Kamalaya Hospices are NonGovernmental Organizations (NGO’s) located in Olivos – a neighbourhood in the outskirts of Buenos Aires province – which provides holistic care to people who are seriously ill and in the last stages of their lives, as well as to their relatives and loved ones. The Hospices’ priority are those individuals who are in the most vulnerable situation, and the assistance is provided through an interdisciplinary group consisting of doctors, nurses, psychologists and volunteers.
The Impact
This target could benefit greatly from the cultivation of compassion, self-care, resilience, as well as enhance resources that would allow them to cope with and prevent burnout.
