The article discusses the concept of Gross National Happiness (GNH) introduced by the King of Bhutan in the 1970s as an alternative to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for measuring the country’s progress. The GNH index includes nine domains such as living standards, health, education, cultural diversity, psychological well-being, time use, community vitality, ecological diversity, and good governance. The article also explores the efforts made by individuals and organizations to implement GNH in their countries and workplaces, including training programs and initiatives to promote well-being, mindfulness, and sustainable development.
