This September the Malawi Connectors had their second national meeting, providing an opportunity for them to conduct more training, make connections, and plan out their priority activities.
The meeting was in Balaka in central Malawi.
Members were drawn in mainly from the Central and Southern regions of Malawi including Zomba, Ntcheu, Lilongwe, and Mchinji.
A central office
The Connectors agreed to move forwards with establishing a central office to help coordinate activities. This will be in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi.
Registration
Malawi’s Connectors are also going to push ahead with the registration of the Malawi Compassion Connectors as a national NGO. This will help with funding applications, recruitment, and improve their chances of working with other agencies in the country.
Funding
The Malawi Connectors will work together to identify key projects they want to pursue and then work with the GCC HQ to identify potential funders.
